Joseph Clyde Ling and George Hezekiah Ling. George was 3 years older then Clyde Jr.
In about 1962, I had Christmas leave coming from
aviation electronics school in the navy in Millington Tennessee. So, I car pooled with three other guys and they dropped me off in Albequrque, where my dad George lived with his
third wife Ruby. Dad and Clyde Jr. Had a teenage dance club, I think they called it the Crystal Palace. It had one of those crystal balls that hung over the dance floor.
It looked as if Dad did all the work and Clyde would come into the box office and grab cash. Dad caught him one night. It was raining and Clyde ran to his car with dad
close on his heels... with a screw driver. Clyde drove a convertible and before he could get out of the parking lot dad took the screw driver to his top.
I do believe that was the end of thier business arrangement. They never spoke again.
